Autothumbs is very easy to use, on this page you will be taken through the
THREE steps to create a set of thumbnails using
Autothumbs.
Step 1 : Choose thumbnail sizes.
The RED area :
First you need to tell
Autothumbs where your pictures are, and how big to make the thumbnails, that's in this red area.
The GREEN area :
Now you've done that, you then tell
Autothumbs where you want the thumbnails putting, and how many to put in a column or row, you put this in the green area.
The BLUE area :
This is an active help area, that gives you help as you move through
Autothumbs.
The buttons in here allow you to tweak and remake your thumbnails in you feel like changing them.
(The areas are coloured for this tutorial only.)
Step 2 : Select images.
Once you have entered the 3 pieces of information, this helpful little box appears. It enables you to select which images you want to make into thumbnails. In this example here, the thumbnails are letters of the alphabet, and so only have single letter names.
The little boxes on the right enable you to preview the images, so you know which ones you are selecting to make into thumbnails.
Step 3 : Create webpage.
Finally, you're now ready to create the thumbnail webpage!
You just give the page a title, and a filename, and tell
Autothumbs if you want any old thumbnails replacing without asking you. The text file option give you a record of what thumbnails are in the newly made thumbnail folder.
That's it!
Here you can see a typical thumbnail webpage that has been created by
Autothumbs, from start to finish in moments!
